At Terrigal Public School, we proudly take part in the ANZAC Day services and marches held in Terrigal each year. Our students, staff, and families come together to honour the bravery and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women. Through our participation, we show respect, gratitude, and a strong sense of community pride as we remember those who have served and continue to serve our country.
We proudly take part in Star Struck, a regional performing arts showcase that celebrates creativity and talent. Our students demonstrate their dance skills, teamwork, and commitment through energetic performances. Participation in Star Struck also highlights the respect and dedication our students show towards others, representing our school community with pride and enthusiasm.
At Terrigal Public School, we proudly participate in the Central Coast Dance Festival, celebrating creativity and performance through dance. This year marked an exciting milestone, as it was the first time all year groups were involved, showcasing the talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm of our students across the entire school.
Harmony Week
Terrigal Public School proudly celebrates Harmony Day and Harmony Week by embracing our diverse community and promoting the message that ‘Everyone Belongs.’ Throughout the week, students engage in inclusive activities, shared stories, cultural learning experiences and classroom discussions that highlight respect, belonging and unity. Our school community comes together wearing orange, participating in buddy activities and celebrating the many cultures that enrich our learning environment. At Terrigal Public School, Harmony Week is a meaningful reminder of the strength we gain when we honour and celebrate our differences.
At Terrigal Public School, we are proud to celebrate the first year of our Student Voice Ambassadors program. These inspiring students are paving the way for greater student representation, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. Working alongside teachers and the wider community, our ambassadors are helping to shape the future of our school through collaboration, leadership, and shared vision.
At Terrigal Public School, we celebrate Book Week with our much-loved Book Parade and Dress-Up Day, where students and staff bring their favourite literary characters to life. This year marked our first full-school parade since 2021, creating a wonderful atmosphere of excitement and creativity across the playground. The event highlights our shared love of reading and storytelling — a tradition we look forward to continuing as a vibrant celebration of books for many years to come.
Congratulations to our incredible Girls Basketball Team, who were named 5th in the State after competing at the NSW Basketball Championships. The team showed outstanding skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the competition, proudly representing Terrigal Public School. Well done, girls — we are so proud of your amazing achievement!
At Terrigal Public School, Aboriginal Education is a valued pillar of our everyday learning. We proudly celebrate NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week, providing meaningful opportunities for students to learn about and honour the histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through classroom learning, cultural activities, and community connections, we continue to build respect, understanding, and pride in Australia’s First Nations heritage.
This year saw Lazlo and Lily represent Terrigal Public School at the Central Coast Public Speaking Grand Finals competition. Both students spoke with confidence, courage and enthusiasm, keeping the audience engaged and entertained throughout their speeches.
Special congratulations to Lazlo who received a Highly Commended for his speech, and incredible achievement.
