Terrigal Public School is a dynamic community school focussed on providing our students with the skills, knowledge and capacities to make sense of their world.
Located on the NSW Central Coast our school community recognises that this is not sufficient. We strive to ignite passion for learning and nurture curiosity. We support our students in their endeavours to contribute to the community. We encourage their talents and quest for fulfilment.

Our school has 35 mainstream classes and 3 support classes and a current school population of 917 students.
We have strong links with the community and we are a proud member of the Terrigal Learning Community. We conduct an extensive transition program with Terrigal High School.
Student welfare is a high priority and strategies to achieve this are based around the school rules of "Ready to Learn, Respect Yourself and Respect Others". The school has an emphasis on providing a variety of educational and extra-curricular experiences to enhance the learning of students. The school has successful programs in sport, dance, music, English as a second language and information technology.
School Hours & Bell Times
Our school day commences at 8:55 am and finishes at 2.55pm
After the morning school bell, parents are expected to accompany students to the office to sign their child in and explain the child's absence.

Supervision
Please note that supervision, other than after school bus supervision, is not provided outside these hours. Children should not arrive at school before 8.30 am and should not be in the school grounds after 2.55pm.
Security gates
The school security gates are opened at 7:30 am. Some access gates on Hillcrest Street and Ena Street are closed again at 9.45 am and re-opened at 2.15 pm. The main gates to the school on Havenview Road are open during the school day. Gates are locked at 3.30pm and the staff car park gate is locked at 6.00 pm.
