Creative arts

Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.

Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

Choir

Two choirs operate in our school. The junior choir and the senior choir.

The junior choir involves students in Years K - 2. They perform at various events.

The senior choir consists of students in Years 3 - 6. They perform at various events and also participate in the Central Coast Choral Festival held every second year.

For more information please contact the choir co-ordinator via the school office.

Band

Year 2 - 6 children can elect to learn to play a musical instrument by undertaking tuition from Teaching Services Australia.

Hire fees and tuition fees apply.

Rehearsals and tuition take place before school one morning a week and also during class time.

The School Band participates in the Central Coast Band Festival, also at Presentation Day and various other school events during the year.

More information can be obtained from the school office.
