The library is an integral part of the school's learning program. Lessons are given from Kindergarten to Year 6 covering a kaleidoscope of areas including literature appreciation, how to use a library, computer skills and project work.
The library fosters a love of books and reading, and provides lunchtime activities for students including games, listening to stories, puzzles and the opportunity to borrow and return items every day of the week.
The library has a fully computerised circulation system allowing every student to borrow from the collection. Students are responsible for all items borrowed. Books must be returned within two weeks and if necessary they can be borrowed again for a longer time.
As part of the Library Policy, lost books must be accounted for and replaced. Books that are damaged need to be shown to the Librarian on return to enable them to be repaired. A cloth library bag is required to protect books whilst on loan. Cloth bags are available from the uniform shop.
